The Ninnie L. Baird Foundation dedicates its resources to improving the quality of life for children and families through preservation, education and nutrition. The board meets annually to review requests for funding and limits consideration to capital campaigns, equipment or projects on a one time basis.

All proposals must meet the following criteria to be considered for funding:

  1. Provide documentation showing the charity to be a tax exempt, non-profit organization, meeting IRS 501©(3)
  2. Be non-sectarian, non-denominational
  3. Provide a mission statement
  4. Have an active and responsible board
  5. Demonstrate sound financial management and be able to provide an annual financial statement
  6. Provide reason for funding request, use of the funds and amount requested

Funding will not be provided for the following:

  1. Sustaining funds
  2. Political campaigns or organizations
  3. Religious, fraternal, atheletic or veteran organizations
  4. Endowment funds
  5. Support of foreign organizations

Request Deadlines:

Requests must be submitted in writing to The Ninnie L. Baird Foundation-P.O. Box 9275 Fort Worth, Texas 76147-2275-by March 1st of the year for consideration and payable by December of that year. Previous recipients will not be consdered for a 3 year period, but requests over $10,000 may be paid over a multiple year period. All requests will be advised of the outcome by the selection committee.
